Students studying to become certified nursing assistants (CNAs) received their basic nursing assistant certificates during a ceremony Dec. 1 in the Science & Technology Center atrium on the Galesburg campus.
This one-semester course provides students with the knowledge, skills and behaviors to perform basic patient care in a variety of health care settings, and to be a nursing assistant under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
The students who completed the course during the fall semester may now take the state nursing aide competency exam and officially become a CNA. Congratulations to these completers!
